Far Afield is an independent, family-run brand founded in 2016 by brothers Mark & Chris Scholes. What began as a shared love for crafting quality garments has grown into a commitment to timeless design and ethical production. The brand's roots are in British design, but it's inspiration draws from the world’s rich tapestry of culture, craft, and everyday moments.
Reworked for AW26, the Josef sits between a bomber and a zip-front work jacket. It is cut short and straight in a softly brushed wool-blend micro dogtooth, with a plain cotton-twill collar against the patterned cloth. A two-way antique-silver YKK zip opens the front from either end, while large patch pockets conceal side hand entries. Fully lined and finished with snap cuffs, it sits neatly at the upper hip without feeling fitted.
