The artist

Johannesburg-based artist, Lebo, forms part of a new generation of contemporary South African photographers. Her work explores the response to loss and mourning through the eyes of the individual, history, language and culture. Kganye uses archives to create fictional history to merge illusive characters with “real” characters in a new universe. Lebo's collaboration with FIELDS showcases a selection of old, blacked out photographs in order to depict silhouettes that create a new moment of connection.

This includes less pesticides, water and soil health, as well as fair and safe working conditions for all employees.
